The Hull McKnight Georgia Cyber Center for Innovation and Training, a $100 million investment in cybersecurity in Augusta, Georgia, has launched a new website at CyberCenter.Georgia.Gov. The website provides information on the state-of-the-art cyber center and on its partners, education and training opportunities and more.

The Georgia Cyber Center is the largest investment in cybersecurity by a state government to date and, when complete, will reach 332,000 square feet. The initial building, opening in July 2018 and aligned with Augusta University’s Cyber Institute, will house a cyber range, a 340-seat auditorium and the Georgia Bureau of Investigation’s new cybercrime unit. The second building, expected to be complete in December 2018, will serve as an innovation and incubator hub for technology startups and will include leasable space available to the private sector supporting the state’s cybersecurity ecosystem.

“The website makes it easy for the public to stay current on the progress of the Georgia Cyber Center, which is scheduled to open the first of its two buildings in July,” said Calvin Rhodes, Chief Information Officer for the state of Georgia and Executive Director of the Georgia Technology Authority, which is overseeing the construction and development of the cyber center. “We are committed to our efforts to further cyber innovation and education for the entire state of Georgia, and the website will help companies, partners and those in education access the latest information available on our cyber range, office space leasing options, events and more,” he added.

The website features a fresh, clean layout for easy accessibility and includes specifics on the center, a news section with the latest coverage and press releases, a photos section that includes time lapse video and construction photography and much more. As the Georgia Cyber Center nears completion of the first phase, more information will become available on the website. Website visitors also are encouraged to follow the Georgia Cyber Center on Facebook and Twitter.
