The Cybersecurity Associate Degree prepares students for the cybersecurity workforce by offering a planned sequence of courses in computer hardware, computer software, operating systems, networking, network security, cyber defense and countermeasures, penetration testing/ethical hacking, digital forensics, and security policies and procedures. The Augusta Tech Cyber Institute offers numerous other cyber-related programs as well. The National Security Agency (NSA) and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) have designated Augusta Technical College as a National Center of Academic Excellence in Cyber Defense Two-Year Education (CAE2Y). Augusta Technical College is the first two-year Technical College System of Georgia institution to hold the CAE2Y designation. The Augusta Technical College Cisco Academy was recently recognized for 20 years of active participation and service in the Cisco Networking Academy program.
